In 1911 Ernest was 13 years old. He was born in Coventry in 1898. His parents were Richard Austin and Agnes Jane (nee Bailey) Dubery. His father was an engineer’s fitter. Ernest was a brewer’s clerk. He lived with his parents and elder sister Lillie at 8 Priory Road, Stamford. In 1901 the family had been living at 10 Cologne Road, Battersea Rise, London. His father was a Londoner having been born in Stoke Newington. His mother was born in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
As yet no war records have been located.
In 1920, he married Beatrice M Pritchard in Peterborough, there is no evidence of children having been born.
Ernest died in the Isolation Hospital in Bourne in 1960, at the time of his death he was living at 40 Paston Lane, Walton, Peterborough.

In the National Probate Record his wife was his beneficiary, Beatrice died in Peterborough in 1979.
