8th December 2015 James Henry Watson James Henry James was born in 1895 in Whaplode near Holbeach, Lincolnshire. His parents were Henry and Julia Watson. In 1901 his father was an innkeeper at the Ram Inn, Whaplode Lincs. By 1911 the family had moved to Stamford and were living at 6 Belton Street. His father was now a farm labourer. James and his brother William were also farm labourers. William, who also served and was killed in action in October 1918, was his younger brother and Phyllis was his younger sister. No records of military service have been found for James. 1n 1917 he married Nellie M Reynolds in Spalding and they had 4 children, all born in the Spalding area. He died in 1975 in the Spalding area.
