Dudley and Geoffrey were the two sons of Frank Henson. Both boys were born in Finedon in Northamptonshire. In 1901 they were living in Church Street and Frank was a builder. By 1911 the family were living in Stamford and Frank was proprietor of the Crown Hotel.

Geoffrey was born in April 1896 in Finedon. He joined the Royal Navy as a telegraphist in 1917. In 1924 he married Gladys Worth in Spilsby and died in 1963 in Spilsby.
