Thomas Francis Senescall – Hillside, 13 Empingham Road

Thomas Senescall, born in Bedford in 1898, was the son of Thomas William and Hetty Senescall. He had a younger sister Hilda born in 1899. In 1911 they lived at Hillside, 13 Empingham Road. Thomas was a Builder’s clerk. Thomas went to Stamford School.
He enlisted with the Suffolk Regiment in the 11th Battalion. They were posted to France and Thomas was killed at Hargicourt and buried there. The Memorial for the Suffolk Regiment is in Ely Cathedral.
