8th December 2015 William Henry was born in 1898 at Radford, Nottingham. His father, Henry, was an engineer iron turner and he and his wife, Mary Ann, were both born in Radford, Nottinghamshire. The family of three moved to live in Stamford before William was three years old in 1901. Living at first at 4 Vine Street, they moved to 1 Burghley Houses, Ryhall Road before 1911 when Kate Annie was born. They shared the house with two boarders, W H Sellars from Grantham and Charles Griffiths of Nottingham, both unmarried engineers. Henry and his wife and children left Stamford at the start of WW I. They may have returned to Nottingham as William’s marriage was registered there in 1920 when he married Nora Mitchell, daughter of Edwin ad Annie Mitchell of Mansfield Woodhouse. Details of his death have not been found.
